Dear Parents
School Opening for Eligible Families
Yesterday was our first day of partial school opening. It seems that everyone is being very sensible and only using this option if they really need to – which, of course, some do.
Please could I ask that if you have booked a place but are now not intending to use it that you email the office. This way we can reduce the amount of staff that we have in school too.
We are pleased, proud and totally committed to looking after our vulnerable children where needed, and the children of key workers who are at the front line of the fight against coronavirus – the doctors, nurses and other health workers; our education colleagues from other schools and nurseries; those who work in food production and shops; and others. We thank all of you for what you are doing, and we will continue to do our bit to support you.
I would like to remind you to carefully consider the government’s first line of advice – that if your children can be looked after safely at home, then they should be. Home is the safest place for everyone right now, and the fewer the children we have in school, the lower the risk of infection being spread to staff, children and our families, and of us being unable to continue delivering this provision.
For parents at home:
We hope you enjoyed your first day together! We are working on home learning it will be uploaded to the school website as soon as possible.
Finally, please stay safe and adhere to the government's latest advice - only leave your house if absolutely necessary.
